Midwifery Care in San Diego & North County

Care close to home means more than a pin on a map. It means understanding where appointments happen, how travel fits around your week, and what support could look like when you are recovering with a new baby.

Tell us where you live and the care you are looking for. We welcome San Diego and North County inquiries and discuss the practical arrangements for each family before confirming availability.

Your location is part of the plan

A search for a midwife near you is only the beginning. Ask where prenatal appointments happen, where birth care would take place, and how postpartum visits are arranged. Those locations may differ.

Tell us your city or ZIP code early so we can discuss travel and scheduling realistically. A city appearing on this website does not mean we maintain an office there.

San Diego and surrounding communities

Our San Diego care-planning guide helps you prepare questions about services, birth setting, records, and payment. It is useful whether you are beginning care or comparing an existing plan.

North County San Diego

Families exploring care in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, Escondido, and nearby communities can start with the North County guide. Confirm availability for your exact address rather than assuming county-wide attendance.

Match the service to the location

Home-birth attendance, a prenatal appointment, a class, and a feeding visit each have different practical requirements. Our service overview explains the available paths and identifies services still in development.

No birth-center address has been announced

The planned center is under development. Its location and opening date have not been announced, and birth reservations are not open. See the project page for the current status.

Making the journey part of the plan

An appointment that looks manageable now may feel different late in pregnancy or after birth. Include the person who will travel with you, help with children, or support your recovery in the planning.

The established Birthstone office is in Murrieta. San Diego appointment format, location, and any travel arrangements are confirmed individually; this website does not announce an office in every listed city.

Start a local care conversation

Share your location, estimated timing, and the care you need. We will explain whether an appointment is available and what happens next.

Questions, answered

Do you have offices in every city listed?

No. City references help families plan and ask about availability; they are not office listings.

Can you confirm my address is within your service area?

Contact us with your city or ZIP code and proposed service. Exact travel arrangements are confirmed during the care discussion.

A San Diego office is planned

Tayna is establishing a San Diego office to bring Birthstone’s personalized midwifery care closer to local families. The address and opening date will be announced when confirmed. Appointments at the planned office are not open yet.

Until the San Diego office opens, Birthstone’s established office is in Murrieta. Prenatal appointment locations and home-birth and postpartum travel arrangements are confirmed individually. North County inquiries include Fallbrook, Bonsall, Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido, Encinitas, and Valley Center.

To express interest in the planned office, contact Tayna with your city, timing, and the care you are seeking. The planned office is separate from the future birth-center project.

You can begin with a conversation.

Tell Tayna what brings you here—the care you are hoping for, the questions you are carrying, or simply where you would like to start. We can talk through current availability and what the next step would involve.
