Fertility, Preconception & IUI in San Diego

If you’re visiting us because you’re taking a step toward growing your family, welcome—and congratulations on this beginning. You may be here with a clear plan, a quiet hope, or questions you have not yet found a place to ask.

Perhaps it began with a conversation at the kitchen table. Perhaps you are exploring parenthood on your own, planning with a partner, or considering donor conception. For some people, this is a first step; for others, it follows a longer experience of appointments, waiting, and changing plans.

You do not need to make your story sound simple before sharing it. Tell us what you hope for, what you want to understand, and what would help you feel supported while you consider the next step.

You are welcome to begin with the story behind those questions. Tayna’s planned IUI service is still in development; treatment appointments are not open. This page offers a place to learn and prepare for an informed conversation.

IUI services: coming soon

Our IUI service is in development. Treatment appointments are not currently open through this page. You may contact us with questions and ask about updates; an inquiry does not reserve a cycle or establish a treatment relationship.

We want the first conversation to be thoughtful and inclusive, whether you are exploring donor conception, building a family on your own, or considering fertility care with a partner.

What is IUI?

Intrauterine insemination places specially prepared sperm into the uterus around ovulation. It differs from IVF, where fertilization occurs in a laboratory. IUI may be considered in some fertility situations and for family-building with donor sperm; individual assessment determines whether it is appropriate.

An IUI plan addresses timing, screening, sperm preparation, and follow-up. Some cycles use medication and monitoring, while others do not. We are not advertising medication management, ultrasound monitoring, or laboratory services as available through this planned program.

What to settle before choosing care

Ask who performs the procedure, where it takes place, what evaluation is needed, and who manages any medication or monitoring. With donor sperm, confirm the receiving clinic’s requirements before purchasing or shipping a sample.

You should also understand cancellation arrangements, what happens if timing changes, the cost of each separate service, and the follow-up plan. Conception cannot be guaranteed.

Bring your whole story

A consultation may include your goals, prior evaluation or treatment, cycle history, and the support you want. You decide whom to include in the conversation. Detailed medical records should be shared through the practice’s designated process rather than a general website message.

A useful place to learn

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s IUI fact sheet provides general education. For current treatment needs, work with an appropriately qualified fertility clinician rather than waiting for our planned service to open.

Making room for your own path

Family-building decisions can involve more than a procedure: who you want beside you, how much you want to share with others, and what kind of support would help along the way. You decide which parts of that story to bring into the conversation.

If you need fertility care now, continue with an appropriately qualified clinician while this service is being developed. We can be clear about our current stage without asking you to put your plans on hold.

Questions, answered

Can I schedule an IUI procedure now?

Not through this planned service. Contact us to ask about development updates and current options for a consultation.

Will insurance pay for IUI?

Fertility benefits are separate from routine maternity benefits. Confirm the procedure, testing, medication, donor-sperm, and monitoring benefits with your exact plan.

You can begin with a conversation.

Tell Tayna what brings you here—the care you are hoping for, the questions you are carrying, or simply where you would like to start. We can talk through current availability and what the next step would involve.
