Curative Midwife & Prenatal Care in San Diego

Finding a care relationship you like is one part of the decision. Understanding how your Curative benefits connect with that care is another. We want you to have room for both conversations.

Tayna’s provider agreement through Birthstone has an effective date of October 26, 2026. Your own next step still depends on verifying the active plan, clinician, service, and location for the care you are seeking.

What has been confirmed

The Curative welcome communication confirms the provider agreement and effective date. That agreement should be matched to the treating clinician and the practice record used for billing. The San Diego Midwifery website is not a reason to substitute a different legal provider name or assume an unlisted location has been added.

What we verify for your visit

  • Your active Curative plan and member eligibility.
  • The clinician’s participating record and approved service location.
  • Whether the proposed prenatal, postpartum, newborn, or wellness service is covered.
  • Any prior authorization, referral, or plan-specific access requirement.
  • Your cost-sharing and any excluded services before you agree to care.

Ask separately about each part of maternity care

Prenatal appointments, delivery, postpartum care, laboratory processing, ultrasound, and newborn services may involve different providers and billing rules. Home-birth arrangements need a specific discussion; an agreement with a midwife does not itself establish coverage for the entire home-birth experience.

A clear estimate before enrollment

Tell us what care you want and where you live. We can review the proposed service list and explain the steps for benefits verification. Any noncovered or self-pay services should be identified before they are provided, with the relevant financial agreement explained.

Curative, Cigna, and the name on your card

Use the administrator and instructions on your actual Curative member card. Do not assume that a different network logo means the practice is participating for every product associated with that network. Ask Curative to confirm the right claims route and provider record for your plan.

Looking at the whole experience

You may be imagining a prenatal visit, a birth at home, or support after your baby arrives. Tell us which parts matter to your plan so the benefits conversation can follow the actual services you want.

Separating those services on an estimate helps you see which questions Curative has answered and which still need review. A general statement about maternity benefits cannot settle every part of a care agreement.

Next steps

Request a benefit review or arrange a care chat. Please use the designated process for member IDs and insurance documents.

A few questions, answered

Does the Curative agreement cover every service on this website?

No. Tayna’s Birthstone provider agreement has an October 26, 2026 effective date, but your exact plan, service, treating clinician, location, and any authorization still need verification.

You can begin with a conversation.

Tell Tayna what brings you here—the care you are hoping for, the questions you are carrying, or simply where you would like to start. We can talk through current availability and what the next step would involve.
